I strive for simplicity when tackling projects and solutions. I love to write innovative technologies using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Amazon Web Cloud, and Zend PHP to power my creations. I hope to leave the web a better place than the way I found it.
I began hacking together code in high school when I realized that I had a passion for programming visual interfaces. I learned HTML and CSS to create simple web pages, an interest that drove me to pursue a degree in Computer Science at Purdue University.
As time passed I excelled at writing code. However, I felt a strong call to create visually appealing interfaces for all my projects. I found workwith a local futures trading company and became an SEO expert when I helped them to reach the number one spot in Google for the term “Futures Broker.”
Upon graduation I went to work at my first large-scale dot com, Orbitz, the travel company. There I sharpened my front end skills, including Object Oriented JavaScript, semantic XHTML markup, and writing efficient Cascading Style Sheets.
In 2006 my heart drove me to a place much warmer where it never rains and the beach is accessible year round. In Los Angeles, I stepped up my front end programming game and worked for Yahoo. There I learned from sharp minds with regard to web programming, highly regarded experts such as Douglass Crockford, Steve Sauders, and Nicolaus Zakas.
After Yahoo, I’ve taken workas a senior front end engineer for such companies as E! Entertainment and Sony. I’ve also played a consultant role for several start-ups.
I enjoy writing music and designing visually stunning web interfaces using the latest in web technology. When I’m not pushing the envelope on web interfaces, you can catch me painting, playing music, strength conditioning, or tinkering in the Amazon Web Services cloud.
I am selectively accepting new projects. Feel free to contact me if you have questions about a project or would like to explore the services I can provide.
